FAQ's
Is GSRP really free?
A: Yes. GSRP is a state-funded Pre-K program. For eligible families, there is no tuition cost. Some programs may charge for optional before/after-care, but the GSRP classroom day itself is free.
What hours does the GSRP class run?
Our GSRP classroom runs Monday to Thursday From 8:30 a.m to 3:30 p.m, and follows the local school-year calendar.
Do you offer before and after school care?
Yes. Many GSRP locations in Michigan can offer wrap-around care, and Huntey’s Clubhouse does provide before and/or after school care. Availability can vary by location and classroom, so please email us at Enroll@hunteysclubhouse.com or call (616) 557-6887 to confirm current options.
What if our income is too high, should we still apply?
A: Yes. Recent changes mean most Michigan 4-year-olds now qualify for free Pre-K, and eligibility considers more than just income. The ISD will review your application and let you know if your child can be placed.
My child is shy / very active / has a delay. Is GSRP a good fit?
A: GSRP is designed for a wide range of learners. Our teachers are trained to support children with different personalities, strengths, and needs. If your child already receives services or has an IEP, please share that during enrollment so we can partner with you.
What if my child turns 4 after September 1?
A: Some ISDs allow “early enrollment” for children who turn 4 between September 2 and December 1. If this is your situation, still apply—your application will be reviewed under those guidelines.
