Nutrition – Huntey's Clubhouse

At Huntey’s Clubhouse, we strive to provide nutritious meals that children enjoy eating. When creating our menu, ensuring a proper balanced diet is essential to provide the nutrition and energy that children need to grow and develop.

A Typical Day Consists of:

  • Breakfast will consist of a whole grain, milk, or fruit.

  • Lunch will consist of a grain, protein, vegetable, fruit, and fluid milk.

  • Snacks contain combinations of whole grain options with a protein, fruit, or vegetable.

We follow Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) Guidelines for food preparation and menu planning. We purchase cereal with 9 grams of sugar or less per serving.

Guidelines for Milk:

  • Children 1 year – 2 years receive whole milk

  • Children 2 years- 12 Years receive 1% milk.

When enrolling a child at Huntey’s Clubhouse, please communicate any food allergies your child may have. If a child does have a food allergy, we substitute any meal items for nutritionally equivalent food.

What's for lunch?

Weekly menus can be found in the News section of our website. These include breakfast, lunch, and what snacks are being served each day. If there is a change to the menu, it will be posted on the Parent Communication Bulletin Board, near the entrance of the center.
