The Preschool Academy at Huntey’s Clubhouse

Dear Families,

We are excited to announce “The Preschool Academy.” We identified the need for exceptional preschool in our local communities and have worked tirelessly to create a new program that will set the standard for early childhood education. We have invested heavily in industry leading curriculum, assessments, team member training, and activities, to ensure that your child gets the best early education experience possible. In order to provide children with the best experience and more intentional learning with minimal disruptions, we will be adding structure around the daily schedule.

We will be transitioning to the industry-leading Creative Curriculum, a comprehensive and research-based program that encourages exploration and discovery, cultivating confidence, creativity, and critical thinking skills that will last a lifetime. Our TC Gold Assessments and parent teacher conferences will also help us monitor progress and identify areas that may need extra attention.

We are especially excited to strengthen our focus on family involvement and promoting family cultures in our classrooms. Our 3-year-old program will introduce more structured learning, while our Pre-K 4-year-old program will prioritize getting your child ready for kindergarten. Big Rapids & Reed City will continue to offer a full-time Kinder Prep program. Our classrooms will continue to operate on age-appropriate schedules.

Please take note of some updates that will take effect at the beginning of the school year:
-The Preschool Academy school year will begin from August 7, 2023.
-We will now be offering 2 day, 3 day, and full-time schedules.
-Preschool & Pre-K School Hours with Specific Drop-Off & Pick-Up windows:
Class Time: 8:30am-3:30pm
Drop-off window: 7:30am-8:30am | Pick-up window: 3:30-4:30pm
Extended Care hours (6am-7:30am and 4:30pm-6pm) are available.
-Kinder Prep start date and hours will follow local public school calendar.

For those already enrolled, we look forward to welcoming your child in the fall. If your enrollment status changes, please reach out to your Director. If you currently have a part-time schedule, your Director will be in touch this spring to discuss your family’s needs.
